This is a must read for those that are fearful…for whatever reason. In my current circumstance, quite frankly, paralyzed with fear, I know God lead me to read this book and certainly to blog about “Fearless.”
Mr. Lucado writes, “fear herds us into prisons and slams the doors!” How true this is, I have been imprisoned for years however in recent months those “doors” have slammed shut with every imaginable lock on them and all the keys lost…forever, or so I thought. He reminded me that, “fear never solved anything” and finally, “let faith, not fear, be your default reaction to threats!” Yes!
Now, one might think I should have realized this with my daily walk with Christ, however sometimes we allow ourselves to become so bogged down with external “stuff” that we make it difficult to discern what God is telling or showing us as our “reassignment.” In “Fearless” with Mr. Lucado’s personal journey, stories and antidotes, it was put in a perspective that I could currently relate to. I am reminded that I am on the “eve of change,” “…a new chapter,” and my favorite, “…the foliage of your world showing signs of a new season.” But know this, that when everything around us is changing, one thing is constant…God. He NEVER changes. He is our compass, our constant, our rock!
I am now looking forward to my “reassignment” and to see what God has waiting for me over the mountain. This was a perfect time in my life for “Fearless” and I know it is a perfect time for the world to read as well. Thank you, Mr. Lucado for “Fearless.”
